Whoah! I remember when my pops got my hooked on trout fishing at 5, you've got us beat by a long shot (or long line...)

Nice job, both of you.

Title is perfect.

I used to get too caught up in catching fish and taking big deer and too intense about it. In fact I almost lost my very strong desire to hunt after many many years of hunting any chance I could, guess it was more burn out than anything.

Well few years ago I started taking one of my younger nephews hunting and it changed everything when I started seeing the excitement in his eye and the anticipation the night before going. It also made me slow down and enjoy hunting and fishing and see it through different eyes.

I had one of my most favorable moments this past deer season where my 12 yr old nephew shot his first deer, never will forget that as long as I live. Acutally was with my oldest nephew when he shot his first deer at 14 yrs old and he is now 32 and I still remember him running across clearcut to get to his deer.

Same thing with fishing, I have enjoyed watching kids eyes and for that matter anyone that has not caught a lot of fish and seeing the excitement.

Great pics

I am taking my nephews on vacation next week and I will try and get some action shot. In fact my 21 yr old son is going with us and hunting fishing have never really been his thing(he lived for his high school football, baseball, basketball and was damn good at it). My son now loves golf and yes after a long 20+yr lay off from golf I took it back up to spend time with him but he is now coming around and is actually excited about taking the boat to the coast next week and fishing. Actually told me he may leave his golf clubs at home(but I know better).

The funny thing about it those pictures like you posted don't even need a camera they are forever burned into our memories but the pics make it great to show everyone else.
