Fished my neighbors Twin Spin offshore for snapper and grouper, because I hate spinning reels.

I was almost CONVERTED!

That's one Bad Azz reel. And even though I have all Conventional accurates for Shark, Tarpon and big Redbass fishing (8) I wouldn't trade their conventionals for any other reel. 5 yrs or more of service and they've never been apart, serviced in any way or went back to the factory for anything. Bullet Proof is what mine are.

And I look at them as an investment in longevity, that I could pass on to someone 30 years from now. Worth every penny in my book.

Who else has a drag like them. Spinning or not? No one!

I have two and they have both broke ? one is on its way to be fixed now and the other is still working . The first time it broke the bail came off during a battle with a fish, this time the reel locked up during a battle of a huge AJ in the gulf last weekend. Now the reel wont turn anymore? they have great customer service , but the reel hasnt held up as good as my Van Staal or Stella. The reel has a fast retrive and is made from nice materials and is very pricey , but seems fragil ? I have had my twin spin almost a year and the van staal for 4 years . The drag is super strong , more so than the van staal and the gear ratio is higher than the Van staal as well. Good luck with your choice.
