Default Schoolie BFT Rod and Reel Recommendations

I'm looking to pick up a couple of spinning gear setups to chase around the schoolie BFT. All of my current combo's which I use for inshore use have Penn Slammer 460s which I realize will not work. I would appreciate some recommendations as to reasonably priced rod and reel combos that can handle schoolie BFT. Thanks

One of the larger sized Shimano Spheros reels (12000 or 14000) geared with a nice sturdy st. croix

I have a G Loomis Pelagic stand up spinning rod 7'6" heavy action paired with a Shimano Baitrunner 6500. The rod I think is perfect for football tuna it has a softer tip but has alot of backbone as well, great for casting the metal jigs used for footballs, it also has a slick butt and a fighting gimbal. The reel has caught footballs as big as 70 pounds without any trouble, has a smooth drag and decent line capacity when using braid, altough I think a Shimano Spheros 12000 or 14000 would be better for that occasional large football.

shperos 14000
I like a longer rod 9' ugly with faster tip tends to whip the fish instead of you most people use a 7' I have a tsunami in that size jury is still out Something similar to the trevallia rods from shimmano would be ideal
The 9'er has landed fish over 100#s but this rod is 10-12yo and has seen fish in the 300# range but I lost them either got spooled or broke line/swivel/crushed or opened hook/stripped the gears of the reel/broke off the handle of the reel and many other failures of equipment This rod no longer comes apart or leaves my boat unless I take it some where
and nothing I have used has taken the a$$ whopping that this rod has and kept all the original parts to date
