Default Bucket of Reels

Came home today to find a "bucket of reels" at my back door. Seems "brother-in-law" decided to clean out his barn and threw some his old reels in a 5 gallon bucket to give to my kids. Unfortunately most are in pretty bad shape. They probably have been sitting in the back of his barn for several years. Looks like my sons and I will have something to do this winter. Included in the bucket were 2 Penn Intl 30s, 1 Penn Intl 20, 2 Penn 6/0, 3 Penn 4/0, 1 Penn 3/0, Ambassadeur 9000, several Penn 309s and 209s and a couple of others I haven't identified yet.

Don't be too hard on ole "brother-in-law" for dumping off his "junk". Looks like you will end up with over $1000 worth of reels for a couple hours of clean-up and maybe $50 worth of parts.

I actually have customers that bring me reels to repair by the bucket load.... It makes a great change of pace from fly-tying, rod repairs, and guiding. Every one of those reels can be returned to great condition with just a little effort if parts are available. Enjoy.

Dang....nice BIL. You have the building blocks to create a very nice offshore arsenal. All of that stuff can be repaired/replaced/restored.

DANG~!!! That's like someone droppin' off a bucket o' GOLD right at your BACK DOOR!!!

You lucky DOG!

However - if you're feelin' more like it's an ALBATROS around your neck - just ship them COD to ME!! It's a sacrifice I'm willin' to make in order for a fellow THT'r to be RID of such a burden.

BTW - thanks Welder ~ I AM a little partial to "gold". HA!!

If my BIL left a bucket at my door I'd be afraid to go near it. Let alone actually look in it.

A job gets in the way of Smoking Crack, burglarizing houses, and running Ho's......Sorry could not resist...

(I have a feeling thats not a far off description for one or two of you as you speak very poorly of your sisters other half)
