Looks like this weekend is looking good to get out front and do some fishing. Anyone doing any good in that area?

Can't believe that no one here has any info on south jersey area. all I see is for point north of Barnegat Inlet - makes it seem like this part of NJ is a dead zone other than bay fluking. What's the deal?

tped, you need to go to the local fishing website for up to date fishing info in our area, www.thebassbarn.com. The site has plenty of what you are looking for.

If you are looking for flounder or sea bass, try the OC or GE Reefs. Trolling at the Sea Isle Ridge two weeks ago I picked up some mahi and bonita. And the canyons are just starting to get hot. But you really need to check with a local shop, the bass barn site, and other local fisherman for up to date info on fishing in OCNJ.

I 2nd that, not enough chatter here local to OC, NJ for any good reports. Offshore this weekend should be red hot!!

Thanks for the replies. I am just starting to get into fishing so have a llot to learn. Unfortuantely not enough boat to get to the canyons (22' CC) but looking for something more than fluke. Not surprisingly, most of the guys around the marinas that fish - don't like to give up their spots if they are hot and that even goes for guys I consider to be "friends". I have far more experience hunting and if someone gets a good deer they only will give you a town that was close so I'm seeing that this can be a tight lipped community also.

I'll be out tomorrow, supposed to fish the Ocean City Exchange Club Tourney. I'll post anything I see and hear.

My boats named "little mo" if you want a report via VHF tomorrow. I monitor ch 68.
