Default Have you tried the Shimano Bait Runner

Have you tried the Shimano Bait Runner series. A friend of mine bought two, I like them a lot, but wish they held more line on each size. Does any know of any other bait runner that is descent.

We have one and its pretty good. The Thunnus is very nice as well, but its very heavy compared to the Baitrunner. Penn also makes one called the Liveliner, which is very good too.

I have a 3500 and 4500 shimano bait runners, they both hold plenty of power pro line. They are a bit heavy, but still think its a great reel.

I have 3- 3500's and 3- 4500's and they work great. I use them on the boat and on the surf. All have power pro. 50lb PP on the 3500's and 65lb PP on the 4500's. Haven't purchased a 6500 yet, a little bit heavier. They are great if you decide to live line a bunker.

I have 4 baitrunners. They are my go-to rods/reels for almost all sorts of fishing I do.
