Default IGFA World Record Apllications with pics

Several new world record applications including a 107 lb tuna on a 20 lb tippet. This one looks like it isn't going to make it though as the butt of his flyrod is a little long.

What a monster eh?

Then there are guys like my old school buddy George Bogan (also pictured) who want world records at any size.

I think he goes out with a heavy rod and a 5 lb sinker, then uses light leaders on dropper loops to qualify for light line classes, and catches weird fish in exotic locations that live at great depth that no one else targets, even the locals.

Asked him to come fish for tuna, but this no longer interests him.

I call shenanigans on that lemon shark release.

First, a lemon shark is one of a few species that can pump water through its gills without swimming; it needs no resuscitation assistance. Second, the shark seems to have a couple bang stick hits to the head that look like .223 Remington. And third, if that 385# fish is alive there's no way it lets two people sit next to it for pictures.
