Default TLD Question

Why are TLD's Titanium Lever Drag? What about them is titanium? the actual lever? I thought it stood for Triton Lever Drag, but on the frame it says titanium.
Another question- There are two small size ball bearings in a tld25. One has 8 bearings and the other has 9. I assume the larger ball one goes towards the inside of the spool and the smaller one towards the handle? I thought they were identical but they aren't.

Thanks

"Exclusive ball bearing titanium drag .... Smooth and durable." This is out of their Instruction Guide. Mark

wow, I never knew about the bearings being different. I replaced these a couple times ,years ago, with off the shelf bearings from a bearing dealer in boston.worked just fine .----- I always thought T L D meant "triton lever drag" everything seems to be made of "titanium" these days.sunglasses , clothing, you name it. lot of crap if you ask me.

i'm a little confused as well. the ball bearings are stainless steel abec-5's. seen plenty of them. no question about it. the drag pressure plate is stainless steel. no question there as well. the actual drag washers itself looks like white canvas. i was told by a rep that it had titanium in it, but it looks like canvas to me. i've got pictures buried somewhere, if anyone wants to see them again.
