Default My charter with Capt. Kunta Smith.

The man CAN fish. We went out of Ft.L. at about 8am picked up some baitfish off the St.Tropez and started trolling for Kings and Wahoo with strips and spoons. Brought in 3 Kings after about 30 minutes.*Switched to wreck fishing with the livies. Without going into too much detail, we got 4 nice Amberjack ranging from 20-60lbs. Released one, but had to keep the two biggest as they were gut hooked and the other was for the table. In between all that we got cut off*three times by*sharks on some nice bites. Switched to kite fishing for about an hour, no luck there. Did some deadbait fishing on wrecks and got 6*snapper and two snowy grouper for the table. We were back at the dock by 2pm.

An all together rewarding day. Pictures to follow.

Here are some pictures. The first is Kunta blabbering on the phone. Second is yours truly getting a hernia from an Amberjack . The third is my partner and Wally the deckhand with a nice AJ.

Dave,

I'd never seen anything like that before. We were one mile offshore in 250ft of blue water. Amazing. We normally have to go at least 10-12 miles to see water*that blue and that deep. These guys are lucky down here.
