I am hopeless in keeping offshore lures in control on my boat, especially when there is the chaos of catching fish going on. I've seen some bucket quick organization systems on these boards and was wondering if anyone could give me a recommendation.
I just hang my day's lures over the outside of a 5 gallon bucket when changing. The unused stuff for the day is inside the 5 gallon bucket. Really simple and cheap. I've seen a number of local charters doing the same thing here. No compelling reason to spend a lot of money to do this!

I picked up a superbowl bucket at the OBX fest. The thing holds a tremendous amount of tackle, don't know how I got along without it. Far superior to a plain old bucket
One modification, drill a couple holes in the base for drainage
Try clear flourescent light tubes and end caps...You can buy everything at Home Depot.

I use the 4"clear poster tubes for spreader bars the womens shoe rack for the rigging equipment and milk crates with everything in ziplocks which stack and are easy to swap out for different species I also have the 15$ crates with the plano's which also stack for plugs and tins marked on all four sides keeps every thing easy to store but can be tough to find the different trolling stuff in a blitz I still don't have enough storage for what I want which causes that disease 2'itus

I have a Superbowl bucket and agree the concept is quite good.....unfortunantely on my boat the rigs still get tossed around and I have a bit of a mess when I get to the fishing grounds. On a slower, smoother ride this bucket should work great.
My sailfish lure bucket consist of a chamois from west marine and i cut it into little strips and it grabs the sails quite well. Also just a regular mop from wal-mart the blue ones work also. If you havent tryed this take my word and your hook-up ratio will double.Email if you have any questions they will reach the market after the first of the new year 2006.
I was practically new at fishing with that many lures at the OBX fest, but I can tell you that ones the superbowls arrived we had a much better time to keep things untangled and they were also nice to put in broken lures and piece of line etc etc besides that it was a good sponsor for the OBX fest
with another great product like the FRenzy flying fish and the fish magician spreaderbars.
All are on top of the page under sponsors but I'm not sure about the superbowl buckets.
I have tried a bucket but not a "superbowl". I had a problem keeping the weighted heads from running down the leaders and tangleing everything up. I have started using baggies and the velcro closure lure bags for leader storage. Maybe the "fancy bucket would solve some of my issues but I havent tried one.
