Default Titanium Leader

Does anyone have any experience with this? The manufacturer claims it will not kink and can be tied using a clinch knot. It is expensive, about the same as Flouro so I am not sure it offers an advantage over flouro.

I have used a few.....easy to tie and it is stronger against teeth than mono or FC.

Are you making live bait rigs w/it, or using titanium for leader?

Thanks David. Can you attach it to the main line using a Uni or did you have to use a swivel?

Maybe an albright knot will work but I do not like them so I use a tiny SPRO swivel.

I have used the titanium for single hook cigar rigs.

I am thinking about a couple of different applications.

1. Trolling for kings and falsies.
2. Casting to schooling spanish.

When trolling I typically use flouro for leader and attach it to the main line with a swivel. Casting, I have been using straight line but I have a fair amount of bite offs. Just looking at some different options.

My standard king rig is 3 ft of wire attached to a small swivel.....I then use a clinch knot to attach the FC to the swivel.......my FC is directly attached to the mainline with a double uni, other guys use blood knots for this connection. I never use wire for spanish.

The titanium leaders I have been shopping..... 40# and 70# and 100# ......seem to be running about 50 cents to 60 cents an inch equiped with a good ball bearing swivel. This is a whole lot more than any fluorocarbon leader I have ever purchased.
