Default Momois Diamond or Sufix

I am spooling some new Tiagra's thinking about Sufix or Momoi's Diamond or Momoi's Hi Catch any opinions. Also do I need to have to spooled at a tackle store or can I buy bulk and do it myself? Not sure about Hi Viz either would be great for trolling.

Ive been using Momoi Diamond for a long time on my 30's and 50's, and its great. Ive heard good things about the Sufix, but prefer to stick with what works.

the momoi diamond has a higher breaking strength than the suffix(few pounds) but also cost more.

we have bothe on our boat and like them alot.
1)diamond
2) suffix- hi vis
3) cajun red-lower line class

the is momoi diamond line is bulletproof I use it on party boats for tuna on a regular basis. My overall vhoice would be 80 but have gone to 100 fish are big and s light as 50 when the fish are line shy. In the four years Ive fished it haven't lost a fish to line failure. This is a pretty good record on a boat where tangles are inevitable and you have to fight the fish fro a dead boat. I've taken bliuefns to 250 in this situation and the line sawed half way through the anchor line and still caught the fish.

I've had good luck with Sufix Supreme in 10, 12, and 15lb sizes. I try to buy my line in bulk (at least the 1lb size spool, since I'm doing it for a living).... You can have your shop load the spools for you or do it yourself with lots of elbow grease. I use my rod lathe for all of my spinning spools and have spare shafts ready to chuck up for every size and make of spinner I use (Penn, Daiwa, and Shimano). With the rod-building lathe I'm able to empty old spools and re-fill them faster than any shop... Here's a tip, try different line colors for different sized lines so that you can identify what's on a given reel at a glance. I'm using clear for 10lb, pink for 12, fl yellow for 15, then back to clear for 20, etc.

For large lines on conventional reels there aren't any shortcuts that I know of. They're just work... One other thing, if going after a world record remember that the Sufix will over-test considerably. I'd use 10lb for a 12lb class, 12 for the 16lb class, etc. Hope this helps.
