Not sure if I'm spelling that correct. Anyway going there March 6-9.

Anybody know what fish are running at that time ?

Also looking for good/reasonable charters. I Would love to get into YFT. Possible ?

Thanks in advance.

From what I've read and heard the Picante fleet is top notch.
They run mostly Cabo 31 and 35's.

tony, i found that it was very difficult if not imposibleto talk to the capt or owner of the boats. they have the dock gates locked so u can't get near the boats and there is signs everywhere warning u against dealing with or giving anyone money for a trip on the dock.they bombard u with every scam on record from time shares to glass bottom boats. after fishing costa rica last yeari was very disapointed with the situation down there. like recamending a resturant to a friend, difficult to give advise on a trip but if u go, look up J-C sportfishing, he's on the dock, he,s running the "BOB MARLIN'fishing fleet he's american he came from alaska and he is a stand up guy. question anyone with this info who says he's this guy. he has a sign out front that says something like no hassels no timeshares, no bullshit just fishing, check him out any more help let me know good fishing

My wife and I fished in the east cape of Mexico back in August. The fishing was good and a lot less expensive than Cabo. We went in to Cabo to enjoy the town and it was great but if you are very serious about fishing you may want to consider Palmas de Cortez.

A friend just returned and he said it was fantastic.he took a 7 1/2' marlin that they estimated at 350 or so lbs.he said at one point there were 3 fish chasing lures before they pulled them in.i asked what he meant the answer is different from whatwever i ever heard.it seems first they let out 5 lines with lures until they attract marlin the capt.than signals for all the lines be reeled in because these fish although curious are very picky.once all lines are in the capt. turns the boat around and a rod with a live fish is put out and the marlin strikes and its fasten your seat belts the action is on.and it happens 5-6 miles off the beach.i always wanted to give BAJA MEXICO A SHOT NOW CABO SAN LUCAS ALSO :

Vinny:
The standard gig in Cabo for the charter boats is to troll a spread of four marlin lures at a fairly good clip (two flat lines, two off the riggers). If a fish is raised but not immediately hooked, they will pitch a live bait to them. This time of year the predominant marlin are striped, and they can be hard to hook on a lure. Due to this poor hook-up rate, they will always try to pitch a bait, which in turn greatly increases their hook-up percentage. And it's pretty common for a pod of 2-6 stripeys to come into the spread. Hope this helps, I can't wait until my next trip out there myself!

JC's sportfishing is a licensed Coyote (BOAT BROKER that you warn others about because they're Mexican) that has a 'space' on the marina and he'd sell his boat (that's 1 boat he owns---NO FLEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) in a second because he makes a bunch more money booking other people's boats with no overhead or problems. He gets discounted prices from us and them books them for what the market will bear!!!!!!!!! It's definately higher than our retail/published prices!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's a no hassle, no bull- Sorry, I will learn to watch my language - guy?????????? Live here and learn more before you post it. I'm humored by this. Want a great boat, straight forward, no BS then see GotCaughtInCabo.com.

I fish Cabo all the time and would recommend Eric Brictson at www.gordobanks.com and the tropicana hotel in San Jose de Cabos. Cheme is his best skipper, but his brother and the other 2 captains are good too.
These pangas are the closest to the banks were the most consistant action is and primarily target wahoo, tuna and dorados, with malin and sails a steady by catch.
3 days, 4 nites will run you about /750 dollars per fisherperson boat, tips, bait, hotels, and drinking for 3 days of fishing, 4 nights lodging, two guys to a boat. The hotel is right in the center of SJC and there is lots for the wives to do, and you don't get the high pressure crap like you do in Los Cabos, 11 miles away.
Eric is honest and is on the beach to launch you and greet you everyday.
