Is there any charter fishing boats in Conn.? I am taking my family for a day of bluefishing and need to know some boats in the state of Conn. (Anywhere in Conn.)
Thanks
I found one on the internet out ot Groton,Ct.
It is called the Hel-Cat II. Has anybody been on this boat? It looks like they fish at the very tip of Long Island near THE END.
Any info would be great. Thanks
That's what I was looking for, an open party boat. Just a day on the water with a cousin from Canada who lake fishes all the time. If there are no bad stories on the Hel-Cat, I will take them. Thanks for the reply.
Well Yesterday I went on the Hel-Cat in Groton Ct.. It was a great trip that left the dock at 9AM and was back at 3PM. Total was 2 sand sharks, 2 bluefish & 6 keeper striped bass (all keepers 20-30 lbs. I had a cousin over from another country and we went out for the day. Great trip. Great crew.
forgot to add, The boat used circle hooks for the striped bass. It was the first time I ever used them. every catch on the boat was a hook in the corner of the mouth. No gut hooks. I was very impressed with them. Did have to get used to not setting the hook. If I let the fish hook itself, I didn't loose one fish.
