USAA "National" Championship? Looks like the USAA (the US Anglers Association) changed the name of it's championships from the Clash of the Carolinas to the USAA National Championship. My question (or the question I saw someone else post elsewhere and which I started to wonder about) is why is an organization that sold itself as being a regional organization whose championships would always be in SC or NC, an organization with the sales slogan, "Fish at home, fish for cash," having a national championship. Can't be very national in my mind if a Flordia boy like me would have had to travel to the Carolinas for at least five tournaments just to qualify for the championship.
Some of you guys were giving the SKA a hard time for qualifying all the Pros for the SKA nationals when they had to cancel the Biloxi SKA Pro tournament. Someone put it that it cheapened the honor of qualifying for that Nationals. What's your opinion on the USAA calling it's tournament a National Championship? Does the USAA crowning "National" Kingfish Tournament champions has to cheapen the SKA nationals, or am I taking the USAA way to seriously. My entire knowledge of the USAA comes from what I have read on the internet.
