Rod Snatch Cables and TACO Rod Holders I just received a pair of TACO Cuda Clamps for mounting to my vertical hardtop piping on our Parker 2310WA. Perfect fit to the piping. Now, the question that I have is this. The welded piece that connects the tube to the clamp has a small hole in it near the top. I don't believe it is a tooling hole. Looks like it is there by design. What is it for? Could it be for
connecting a short cable from the rod holder to the rod to prevent the rod from accidently getting bounced out in rough seas? I'm not sure what the name of this type of safety cable would be, but I'm sure that they are made.
I'd like to find some professionally made safety cables that I could attach to the rod holders. It is possible to bounce a rod out of the holder in this type of application or in a rocket launcher, if the sea is rough enough.
