Forget drilling holes. Take the main line 200 lbs., slide on the CD's, slide sleeves(crimps). Take another piece of mono and tread it through the opposite way the main line went. I do one at a time. Basically you are doing a figure 8 with the 2 pieces of mono thru the hole in the CD. You have to crimp a CD in place, another figure 8 thru the next CD, crimp it in place and so on. Distance between each CD is up to you. I did 5 and put a large Moldcraft at the end of the line to stabilize the rig and make it look like a larger fish chasing the smaller fish(CD's). While live baiting I have had school of Mahi of come up and inspect the rig, they were all over it. The were small and couldn't eat the live bait, but as soon as I pulled the teaser the were gone, the flash is awesome.
I've also had several CD's destoyed by an unknown assailant(spelling) The best thing about using only CD's is that if you hooked a big fish and are unable to clear lines and teaser you can cut the teaser and not worrying about expense.
Good luck! Capt Rob Mazzei
