Default Rod Holders - truck

Does anybody know a good place to buy rod holders for a pick up truck, either for behind the cab or on the front? Thanks.

Forget about it, I've never had much luck trolling with my truck. No place to mount a fighting chair either.

I know a guy that makes rod holders that attach to your toolbox (if you have one). If you don't have a tool box you could bolt it through the back of the truck bed. The "thing" (for lack of better name) is essentially rocket launchers like on a T-top bolted to your truck. The unit is custom made of AL and hold 5-6 rods/reels up to 80W. I'll get a pic and a price if you are interested.

The coolest set up is one that goes in a receiver hitch on the front of youe truck. They are also available that hold coolers and other gear.

thanks, definitely along the lines of what I am looking for - little pricey to ship to Cape Cod, but some good looking gear.

I saw a similar one in a Quadratech catalog (they sell off road equipment). Might be a little cheaper, check out their website.

Make a 2 X ? to fit in 1 slot all the way across the bed, cut the top of this at 45* and mount another 2 X ? to this, mount 6-8 rod holders to this pointing out the back of the truck....it's cheap, removable, and keeps other stuff from sliding around!

rburke and anyone else who is interested,

I contacted my friend who makes the rodracks for your truck. Here are a couple of pics of one mounted in a F350.

My first try at posting pics here so lets see if it works.

Not sure if you have a full size truck or not, but he also has some for smaller trucks that hold 5 rods instead of the 6 that the full size truck model holds. Also he has a couple of of the small truck size powder coated.

6 rods or 5 the price is $150.00 for the polished AL

The powder coated ones are $200.00 and only available in the 5 rod configuration. Red or Blue.

I'll double check this, but I pretty sure that mounting hardware is included.

nhigdon,
I would be glad to send you the information, but you don't have your email address listed. Either list your address so I can email you the info, or if you don't want your address listed on the forum shoot me an email and I will reply to it.

Dream Weaver,

Will these hold three to four Penn 130'S set up for Giant Tuna Fishing? These look great and are quite the set up for the guy who doesn't want to leave gear on boat or trailers.

Thanks,

Dave
