Rod Recommendation - The Hull Truth

I purchased a Penn 8500 SS reel that I want to put 30 lb test on and use as a flat line rod that is put in the rod holder to try and hook up to kings, cudas, etc while we're bottom fishing for grouper. Any recommendations on a relatively inexpensive rod (hopefully something I can find used on ebay) to match that up with?

I seen that one, but the shipping charges of $28 make it $60. It's probably worth it, but I think I can do better.

I received a 8500SS reel as a gift and went to a reputable tackle shop in Holiday, FL-Dave's Fishing World- for a rod to match. Dave sells all of the expensive brands Loomis, St Croix, Crowder etc....I was prepared to pay for an "expensive rod" but Dave recommended a 7' Pinnacle PowerTip Pro. I paid around $50 and the balance is great.
