Random Quote: Bragging may not bring happiness, but no man having caught a large fish, goes home through the alley.
They worked really hard and we brought home 15 wahoo from 20-45#, 2 Blackfin Tuna and 2 small dolphin. The fish house had the total gross weight over 400 pounds.

I sold my 24' Topaz 6 years ago when I left Stuart, Fl, now I just have a 20' trailer boat. I would have traded 15 wahoo to catch 3 on my own boat, I just can't get out there anymore without chartering. I felt like I was watching ESPN2 instead of fishing. Chris the mate did the fishing, we just did the reeling.
But as far as charters go, Bruce and Chris are top shelf!!! My freezer is full and I am still riding around with a cooler in my truck trying to give wahoo to my friends.
If you ask them, the guys will let you hook your own fish and rig your own ballyhoo (as long as they swim right in the spread). Just don't ask to use the gaff...
At least you had a good day of catching, which is better than a bad day hands down...
I can't beleive you murdered 15 Wahoo. What did those fish do to you, you probably altered the local ecosystem and the World's oceans will never recover. Surely it will carry down the food chain, only to kill off the holy manatee Just kidding, sounds like a great trip!
Sounds like you had a great trip!
I ended leaving 3 hours later than I planned friday. (DAMN FISHING BUDDY GOT DRUNK THE NIGHT BEFORE AND DIDN'T HAVE THE DECENCY TO CALL AND CANX, SO I SPEN TWO HOURS TRYING TO FIND A REPLACEMENT . Tuff to do that early in the morning when most people are working.) Decided to take her out by myself... Big Rock trip turned into NW places trip, hoping to hook into smaller fish that I wound have a better chance to handle alone. The good news was that I had 6 solid hook ups, the bad was they were all big, and I don't have enough experence running the boat, fighting the fish, getting everything out of the way, and trying to gaff, so they all found a way to say out of the fish box.... The two I had next to the boat were big kings, 20 and 30+ lbs. Great day on the water, and found out I can handle the boat all by myself, just need more pratice working all the gear alone.
Hoo-King'em,
Scott
