Default Tred Barta?

Have you guys seen his new show?
I just started watching the series on OLN.
I love it. I have seen his boat in the canyons. Also read alot of his articles. I have not had the pleasure of meeting him.
This guy is a hoot.
I would love to go fishing with this guy.
He is the Muhammad Ali of fishing.
His way or the highway
Finally a guy who can speak his mind honestly.

Yeah hes a great guy and an awesome fisherman. You will probably get quite a few people here who don't like him. He is somewhat controversial, but thats only because he states his mind and isn't always politically correct..............just my type of guy! Saw the show for the first time this weekend and thought it was great!

Friday nights-9 PM, I think.
He's a little loopy if you ask me. Knows alot about fishing, but nothing about winning friends and influencing people. I do like the show.....it definitely doesn't pull any punches.

He writes in one of the fishing magazine I*subscribe to*. . . I want to see if he is as good/bad on TV as he is a writer.

That's Tred--like him or hate him--and he does'nt care which!
Definitly my kind of guy--although, I would never want to fish with him.

It's unusual to find someone who has the courage to speak their mind, and also take full responsibillity for those words. He's definitly a "breath of fresh air",after watching all of these other homogenized, no ba11s, politically correct, "products of corporate America".

I wish him well!!!

The guy is a real riot. He gets excited about fishing and hunting. I share the same passion for fishing. I watched a show a few weeks ago where his friends did not show upt at 2 in the morning to fish and he went alone. I have done that a couple of times in my life. If I tell someone to be at my house or the boat ramp at 4 in the morning and I wait 30 minutes and do not get a call, I out of here and going fishing. You might not like his personality but you will laugh while watching the show. He is against computers and technology and that is fine with me when it comes to fishing or hunting.

OK Tred is a jerk. I still watch his shows. Not to really learn anything; but just to hear him potificate about his way.

I have to ask the question? Where did or does he work or what does he do? He talks about Tuna fishing on a six pack budget however he's running a 130K boat with 32K in motors, 20K in electronics and 15K plus in gear!! Six pack budget???? Right!!! My instinct would be a silver spoon??

I watched an episode a few weeks ago when he did a lone voyage to the Canyons, his partner who was scheduled to go never showed up. It was pretty interesting as the guy explained some of his inner demons, and celebrated his lone accomplishments....Good show.

Fantastic show! I almost get upset when it's Tred tracking huge hogs or whitetail buck because that means tonights show will not be on blue water. That is saying a lot about his fishing skills being though I'm a redneck from Hampton, South Carolina.

Me too! I watch Tred to see him catch tuna, and it seems like he does that with the best of them. He has a ton of experience in the canyons and has put some serious fish in the box. His show is great. Is he a little reckless? Not so solo canyon trip with a camera man or two, and leaving for the Canyons midday knowing your gonna run in the dark and a small weather window? He keeps it interesting!

Love him or hate him, he is probably the best tuna fisherman of modern times (excl. the guys who target giants). I have ten or so bigeyes to my credit, this guy has hunderds, maybe thousands. Read his book.

I like the fishing shows, I could do without the hunting shows. The song they play "barta you are the man" is a little much. I would like to meet him, I have read his book and I would fish with him in a second. I can't wait for the episode where Olaf throws his a$$ overboard just to prove he can come back and pick him up.......maybe

I do like the show, 'cuz it is very real life...he seams to always catch small fish tho, which more times than not is the way it is, in the time frame he allows himself.
I can't believe how he runs out catches 1 Yellowfin and blast back to the barn...seams like a waste.

I believe Tred owns a Business that sell airplanes, So apparently the "six pack budget" and "I can't afford a Buck tag" is BS. he must be a cheap SOB...which isn't a bad thing
