Default Slayed the YFT 12-22-04
Got the call from Earnie to hit Pirates Cove for a little YFT action. Left my house at 330 for the ride down. Met the captain Jamie on the Phideaux. Great day super flat maybe saw 5-6 boats all day. Headed overboard for a warm water eddy the captain had heard about, out to 1000fa. NOTHING. Turned around and headed just south of the point. I think @ 530 line in 71 degree water 100fa. Trolled a while and hit a double. Got them both. All small fish 20-30lb. Had 5 on at one point. We went 18 for 19 on fish brought to the boat. The one broke the leader, it had a knot in it.

All in all a great day with my friend Earnie. Thanks for the invite. Off to put up some meat for the freezer. The action was hot to say the least if you get a chance to go now is the time especially for kids with this small class of fish.

This is the fishing report. I went today 12-22-04. Maybe most here can only talk about fishin!!!!!!!!! I am living it!!

Its a long way from the puter to the gaff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTG guy, Knew it was one of those few and far between WX winter days, Wish I could have been there! Nothing quite like OI, 2 days ago temps in 20s and today in 60s. Only a hand full of boats, Dec 5th there were at least 200 out there.

BTW I'm @ 264 & Military. Thanks for the report.

All gear was 50 internationals, witches, nakeds and squid chains.
