Default FISHING THE OUTER BANKS

My father and I are thinking about a short trip to the Outer Banks fishing this weekend. I'm looking for any info on surf fishing i.e. websites and/or current reports. Any information would be appreciated.

I think it is just wonderful that you plan to fish the Outer Banks, but let me tell you something about it. The first place to look for useful information for a planned fishing trip to the OBX is not one of the web sites listed above, it is this one:

http://www.erh.noaa.gov/er/mhx/

Trust me on this, I've made the trip down there (500 miles one-way for me) hundreds and hundreds of times over the last couple of decades, and in fact just came back sunday after 5 days in Rodanthe. The first thing you need to find out is not bait, times, and species, its weather.
