We fish for wahoo small with Avets, Accurate and a Torium loaded with 80 lb spectra. We have caught wahoo up to 50 pounds. We fish with about 10 pounds of drag. Usually they run out about 200 yards and stop, thinking they have outrun the danger. At light drag settings you can get two or three runs out of them.
TLDs are a little heavier than the reels we use but no reason why they won't work.
Caveat, a medium size marlin will run out 500 yards of line at light drag and keep on going. If you put a lure out you are never sure what you are going to hook.

I only fish with 25s outta MHC NC. I have caught some really big wahoos on them. To me it's all about drag control and someone that can work the rod and reel. Meaning reel like a mad man if it turns to the boat... Mind you I fish a 27CC MayCraft. Would fish with 30 2spds but yeah $$$$
