St. Mary's, GA in early October

I will be spending a weekend in St. Mary's GA (Crooked River State Park) in early October and fishing is at the top of the list. I'll take my kayak, but I'm also thinking about a charter. Any recommendations on charter captains would be appreciated (if you have first-hand knowledge). I have found a few online but I'd rather have an actual recommendation from someone that's fished with them before.

As far as kayak fishing, I think as long as I time the tides correctly I will be fine. Ride the tide out, ride it back in. Will try to cast net, trap, sabiki, and/or purchase some live bait. I'm guessing I might be able to hook some reds or specks in the river and sound. Any local knowledge would be appreciated.
