I have a bunch of 30sw reels, all are the same except for 1 I just received from Ebay. It seems to be in decent shape, works fine, but the color on the Penn engravign is different, or lack of color. Is this a legit 30sw? Did they make some with no black paint in the engraving? Or is this a counterfiet or something?
The first is what all my 30sw reels look like. The 2nd pic is the new one:
Looks legit to me, how much did you pay for it?
I used to hawk E Bay all the time, not so much lately because the deals haven't been so good, sometimes you can get some deals, Boat US made a mistake by listing Trinidad 50's in the boat parts section, i purchased three for approx. $200 each.
Thanks guys.... I thought they were legit, but just wanted to double check since I have 6 and 5 are exactly the same, and this one came like this different.
Price was ok, not an exceptional bargain, but not full price. They go from 275 to 375 on ebay based on condition and line loaded.
Looks like it needs service too! The rear lever stop appears to be stuck down. That usually happens when there is salt build up there. It would be agood idea do take it in and have the whole reel checked.
