14 inch squid bars while trolling on penn 30s or 50s. I have heard of some fish taken trolling small braidrunners as well.

Topwater light tackle- Shimano Stella 6000 with 40lb power pro to cast dealdly dicks/ spoons or poppers re rigged with much stronger 7 o hooks.

We found them about 3 miles off Nauset beach 2 weeks ago. Only had Penn 5500's rigged with 30lb PowerPro w/ Floro leaders (we were out for stripers and blues). Only hooked one and was making progress when I felt him turn straight away, whacked the line 2 or 3 times with it's tail and broke off. Shredded the PowerPro. Should have had a longer leader. I used the same set up in Costa Rica on 20-30lb yellowfins and albacore and didn't lose one. Usually we use Penn 850's and stouter rods for small bluefins - wish we had them that morning.

I go a little heavy for footballs with penn 9500ss with 300 yards of 50# stren super braid and 300 yards of mono backing. I also use a 3ft 50# flouro leader. I use an shimano tiger stick 1 piece spin rod. dicks and crippled herring seem to work well.
