Georgia fishing - The Hull Truth

I am from georgia and am new to fishing the ocean from boat. I dont have a huge boat but it is a 25 Sport with a 225. I put in around skidaway park and near tybee island.

nice looking proline. i am from brunswick as for ga fishing plenty of red snapper out there but we can catch them. close offshore reefs should put on black seabass, summer trout, look for flounder down current and there may be some sheepshead still there as well as big red fish which must released. but thats about it till the water temps start rising. april cobia should start tru may spanish mackerel and kingfish but once again depends on water temps.

First off THANK YOU for your service! I read your post in the boating forum.

Try posting at charlestonfishing.com. It covers the GA/SC coast as well as providing a LOT of good tips and many folks who are eager to answer questions.

Just a thought also - you might want to consider getting a local charter capt to go with you for a day. You'll learn a TON! I just bet there are some who'd be happy to help a veteran like you.

Main thing is have fun and enjoy your new boat!
