Default Need a good charter in Key West...

Hello everyone. I'm looking for some names of some good charter boats in Key West. It's for a bachelor party. Probably 12-15 guys. I'm really wanting to stay away from head boats. I realize I may need to charter 2 boats to accomodate the number of people. I've chartered in other Keys before and know that some have sister boats or more than one boat in the fleet. Just don't have any experience with Key West. We'll be going sometime in August or September of this year. Thanks in advance for your time and knowledge.

Call Capt. Mike Weinhoffer. His boat is in Garrison Bight in KW and he can take care of you.

I checked out his website. The 36 YF looks good except he can only take 6 and I'm gonna have 12 people. I didn't see anything about a sister boat on his site. I guess maybe I'll give him a call....Any other options/input...?

All of the charters can only carry 6 people unless they are a head boat which can carry a lot more but Idon't think that is what you are looking for if you want to go offshore.. His website has not been updated I guess beause he runs a 36' Invincible now. Give him a call. I am sure he can arrange a second boat. There are others in the same marina. He knows everyone down there. he is the tournament director for the World Sailfish Championships down there.

The Mr. Z is a good boat. The captain and mate are great guys and they are usually on the fish. Also Capt. Alex on Showtime Charters is good.

For that many guys...get 2 boats. Some will take up to 6, so just find two good captains that run huge center consoles and you're set.

it's common, and a great way to increase the competitive spirits...one boat versus the other, etc.

There's lots of recommendations for good capts on here...do a search.

I would go with Capt. Paul Tryon on Tailchaser- tell him his LASIK surgeon sent you. He works with the Key West Pro Guides and will hook you up with another similar boat as well- I recommend Chip or Ryan Veatch. You should have a blast and catch fish.http://www.tailchasercharters.net/paul.html
