My good buddy and neighbor took that video. I have helped him edit some footage (not this particular one though) and let me tell you this is the TIP of the ICEBERG.
Nice video!
I'm no expert but I'd say farther out than the mouth. Water seems too clear and based on what looks like coral growth, could be around the Midnight Lump?

Great video . . . I think that its was taken at different oil rigs . . . different growth densities and I believe as least two different structural types of oil rigs

the midnight lump is 16 miles from southwest pass ie mouth of the river.
when I said the mouth of the river I was refering to the area around the Ms river delta within 30-40 miles.
According to the gov, this is a unknown non fished location in the gulf, or this was film taken before the 1970's. Everyone knows that such a healthy eco system no longer exists due to severe overfishing and lack of regulations on sportfisherman.(ha,ha). Great video. This is the kind of evidence based research we need for setting future regulations.
These films are taken off the coast of Louisiana in the so called dead zone. They could have been made at one of hundreds of rigs. Al's goals are two fold. One to show the abundunce of fish and the other to show the need for maintaining rigs as reefs after they have gone out of production. Presently enviromental forces want the rigs removed . He is showing the great service those rigs are doing for fish.
