Default Kudos to Penn

I had two broken Penn international rods (one spinning and one trolling), long out of warranty. For $20 each, and no questions asked, they replaced both of them!

Most of these large companies are willing to help people who use their products. All it takes is to contact the company and see what they can do./....

You can't beat the folks at Penn. Back in 1998, I was planning a trip to take my boat to the FL west coast to take my father tarpon fishing. He had an outdated but very useable Penn reel that needed a couple of parts replaced. I called Penn about the parts and the lady that handled my call asked how many years my father had the reel and how old he was. They sent the parts for free and paid the postage. All my saltwater gear has been Penn since I was 9 years old and 48 years later it still is the brand.

Bravo!
I have had the same experience with the folks at the Pennsylvania factory.
All my saltwater trolling reels are over 30 years old....
And working!

Still fish a 112h that I bought with paper route money in 1971 along with an Old Pal tackle box. My first major tackle purchase. Still works like the day I bought it. My son just caught a 25 lb dolphin with the same reel.

And now there is no Pennsylvania factory.
