God forbid...bite your tongue. I am just now learning all the new grunt recipes. Along with grunt pie, fricassee grunt, saute'd grunt with squid bits, grunt and chum ball marsala....just to name a few....

I have not seen that many caught this year. Most of the people that I fish with have held back and not gone out as often and some only fished during snapper season which was real short this year. I'm with you who counts these fish, they got a satellite that counts fish caught but they can't find the terrorist in the desert.

Not disagreeing with the prevention of over fishing, just the methods for determining the count. I am fortunate enough to get to fish offshore several times a year. Some trips we do good some not so good. I have never been approached by anyone asking me how many fish or what species of fish we caught.

I am the tournament director of one of the largest offshore tournaments in the country. In our 8 years we have never had anyone from any govt. agency tally our weighed fish.

We are now faced with one of the most prohibitive fishing shutdowns in our history and still no one can point me to the person that counts the fish!!!

I have written to my state reps, signed several online petitions and am planning to atted the bottom fishing closure meeting in Nov. being held in Port Canaveral Florida. All in hopes of finding that person the does the count.

I ask again, WHO COUNTS THE FISH??!!

I have caught hundreds of these fish this year and only kept about 6. My copy of the 2009 rules say 1 per person and thats what I am sticking to for the rest of the year if I even decide to keep one.
