Default Tell me what rods I need....

Recently I have won some awesome deals off ebay. Ive got 4 like new reels under $120 combined. I wanted to get a couple set ups that I can take with me when I am taking friends out that don't fish a lot so if they drop them overboard it want hurt me too bad. I am trying to figure out what rods I should put them with. I bought these reels to use them for multi use sort of thing like bottom fishing, shark fishing, and trolling magnums and etc.

The reels I got are:

Shimano Tynros 30 Single Speed

Penn 114hl

Penn 114h

Penn 10/0

What rods should I get for these?

That Tynros is a good real.. Sounds like you'll need a few trolling rods and a few bottom rods. You can go anywhere from $125 a piece to over $500 a piece.. Its nuts.. Good luck hunting.

For sharks and trolling magnums, what about a Penn Mariner 660CHST?

6', fairly stiff, 30/80 lb rating, aluminum reel seat and gimbal, and slick butt for pulling out of the rod holders with a fish on.

Sports Authority carries them for $85 a piece and frequently has $25 off $100 coupons. Penn and Shimano don't let you use these coupons for their stuff, but frequently the cashiers don't know or care.
