Default SE of Cox's and Fairway

Was planning a near shore trip next week and have always wondered about the irregular shaped bottom SE of Cox ledge along the 30 fathom line.
Anyone have any input on this spot?
Thanks

you're referring to the fingers on the north side of dump I'm assuming. At any given point the area can produce. Have caught bluefin, makos, threshers in the area. Don't pass up a look especially if u see draggers working the area. Starting around now the bluefin won't be far behind.

Nice to know something might be in there.
It looks real fishy.
The long short of it is I am upgrading to a 27ft WA in 2 days and am planning a trip following a 2 weeks break in, ect... I want to go a max of 20 or so miles off so this may be pushing the envelope, it will ultimately all depend on the weather.
I'm fired up all the same for the boat! Even if I have to fish the sound.

My guess is the piece of bottom you are talking about is the fingers.

From what I here the storm messed up the water and the fish are no longer around the dump.

I wouldn't say they are no longer in the dump... I think they are a little further west than the northeast break that everyone fished last week. The storm did break up the nice water that was north of the dump. We had yellowfin, bluefin, mahi and wahoo at inside fingers, just east of the claw last week, but that water is long gone now... Too bad. I was liking catching yellowfin and wahoo 20 minutes from the hooter!
