Balloon Fishing For BFT Question

Im going to be trying my hand at live bait fishing for BFT this week and i would like to know from all the people out there who use balloons for tuna fishing,

how long do you make your leaders?

and do you anchor up? or do you drift with the balloon?

This will be my first time ballooning for BFT any other tips are welcome!!!

I drift while flyin a kite in tandem and use 6' of leader at least and adjust the balloon above your mainline for your desired depth. These fish have been very leader shy and short strike at heavy leaders, I only use 250 and don't mind the ones that get spooked. So if you can try so 100-130 they seem to be fine with that stuff.
This 150-200 lb class didn't get that big being stupid.
Be careful these things can kill someone who gets dragged over by an errant harpoon tagline or even a mainline.
