Last year we added small bolt cutters( $12 ) from home Depot to our offshore list. Perfect to cut hooks that end up sticking into the wrong prey. Haven't needed them yet.

Change of clothes and fowl weather gear. First aid kit that can deal with everything from a headache to a life threatening cut.

Bait

I always write myself a note and leave it on my keys when I go offshore.
Long ride to forget the ballyhoo in the freezer.

Also don't forget to file a float plan and leave it with someone so they know where and when to start looking should things go bad.
