Default Penn 25 GLS graphite lever drag senator?

I just got a Penn 25 GLS graphite lever drag senator for a good deal. The reel is in great shape. And i have a spare drag for it. I WAS WONDERING if this would be a good jigging reel for Butterfly jigging small tuna. OR is it just not a strong enough reel. Its got a 4.5 gear ratio, witch i know is a little slow but can deal with it. Any input would help.

No, the GLS 25 (I have 2 of them) would NOT be a good reel for speed, aka "butterfly", jigging. For jigging you really want a reel with a metal frame and sideplates for strength in a "vertical" fight. The GLS is a 100% graphite reel (that's what the "G" stands for) and lacks the necessary strucural strength. Now you say you're targeting "small" tuna. Not sure what that mean? 20lbs Blackfin, or 60lbs Bluefin? The 20lbs blackfin might be okay, but will wear out the reel quickly. 60lbs Bluefin -- not a chance.

The GLS 25 is a GREAT reel for live baiting kingfish, sailfish, dolphin, ... Basically, it's a 20lbs class reel that can go to 30lbs -- but you loose line capacity.

If you're looking for a reasonably priced reel for jigging, look at the Shimano Torium 16/20 or Daiwa Saltist 30T -- both can be bought for around $180.
