Default Braided fishing Line

Searching e-Bay for some braided line, I a lot of the posts were for an offshore brand - Dyneema - anyone heard of this or used it? Sounds like a knock off and I'm weary of it.

You should probably post this in the Sportsfishing Forum.

It's the a gel spun fiber made in Europe. It's like spectra. I have read that spectra fibers are "better", but I doubt that we'd notice this difference using either type of braid. Spectra works fine for me, so I'll stay with my favorite brands like Power Pro, Sufix, etc.

I have just started using the Dyneema that i get from E-bay and let me tell you the 8# Dyneema is awesome. Better than any other braided line I have used. Casts a country mile. I have some 15# on the way! Much cheaper too.

You get what you pay for. Why skimp on something as important as line?

Locke N Load is right, Why Skimp? Don't buy line on ebay. It could be old and sitting around and exposed to who knows what kind of elements. Buy from a reparable local tackle shop or online store.

The Good News is that it doesn't matter how old it is the stuff wears like iron and sitting around for a few years make no difference at all.

Not true, yes lasts a long time, if taken care of. Do your research.

Very true Sam but I still would be a little wary of something like factory seconds etc. Considering how long it lasts I agree with the others - to important to take the chance.
