Default penn reel repair

I have a penn 10kg lever drag reel. The reel seems to be restricted or tight to a certain degree. Its not as free as it should be when reeling. The reel does not have alot of hrs.on it,but has performed well till now.
My question is;does anybody have any idea what the problem may be?Also,I have never had one apart. Are they difficult enough to warrent a repair shop,or should I tackle it myself?

They had alot of problems with the 10kg with frames warping which usually related to tight lever drag and tightness in the free spool.

Great!!!So if the frame is warpped,I assume its junk?Has Penn done anything about it?Is there a fairly simple way to tell if the frame is bent/twisted?How the h-;'.,/' does this happen on a lightly used/supposedly heavy duty reel?

i'd send it to Penn. I found their service work to fast and very economical... I sent my Penns in every other year and they look new when returned.
