Default Butterfly jig size for schoolie tuna?

Hey guys,
I’m looking to buy some Shimano Butterfly jigs but I am having trouble picking the right size/weight due to my inexperience. I don't want to go too big and heavy and I also don't want to go to small and have trouble getting it to where the fish are. What would you experienced fisherman out there suggest for size/weight for targeting schoolie Bluefin and other similar tuna? I would be using these double duty on other fish as well
I was having trouble deciding between the 3 1/8oz or the 4 3/4oz. Which would you go with if you had the choice?

I think a lot has to do with the current and if you are drifting or at anchor? Casting the jigs or dropping them?

Most likely you'll need a variety of jigs to cover all the bases.

get a couple different sizes, need enough weight to get it down in a current, and need to be able to match the hatch.......theyll eat really any size though if they are feeding

I do have a variety of jigs for my arsenal For the shimano's I planned on mostly drift fishing and casting. I would be using the jigs in anywhere from 30ft to 200ft of water.

I would think that matching the bait they were feeding on would be more important than presentation. You'll figure a way to get it there, but if its 3 times the size of what they're feeding on it won't matter.

Thanks for the help guys
I guess I was looking for an easy answer like

“You should stick with the smaller jigs because schoolies don’t eat large prey and it will be easier on you to jig all day”

Or

“Get the bigger jigs so you can fish deeper if you have too”

I should have known that it’s not an easy to answer question I’m still scratching my head should I get the 3 1/8oz or the 4 ¾ oz? I bet it doesn’t even really matter. There’s not a lot of difference between those two sizes of jigs.

It depends. How deep you fishing? What size tackle you using? 200gm (7 oz) is a common size.
