Avet Gold Reels?

I like the look of the avet gold reels but how do they hold up to boat rash? Do you all think silvers would be better

I have both gold and silver Avet reels. The gold has held up well and I have been very impressed. My dad has 2 of the new Penn VSWs and the Avet finish has held up as well or better than the Penns. It is a different color gold though......closer to the Shimano gold color than the Penn.

I do like the silver better since it does hide scratches and marks better and they look better with my rods. Plus everyone has gold reels, so the silver is different in my book.

My 5 golds show no wear or tear.

Gold catches larger fish than those other fairy colors.

Everyone knows that.
