Default Hot Spots Fishing Chip customer service ??

I have been a lurker on the forums for quite some time and finally decided to register not long ago. One of the reasons was because of some recent experiences with purchases made. The newest purchase being, buying one of the Hot Spots Fishing Chips. I don’t usually do this sort of thing, but I have done some searches all over the net and seem to find some people reluctant to buy one of these chips. Well, let me tell you my experience and you guys can go from there for what it’s worth.

I called rather than buying one of these chips online in the store at bestgpsspots.com . I was able to get to Bill on the first call and asked a question or two before giving my CC information. You can tell by the conversation, that these people are concerned about you getting the right chip for your GPS and making sure its right. Anyway, I bought it and hoped for the best.

Two days later, I get a priority mail package with the chip in it. There is also a drink coaster with a fish on it. I guess they throw in a little coaster for your beer after fishing all day LOL. Anyway, I plug in the chip in my lowrance and nothing… I mean, nothing. Well, I figured I would try that number again and call Bill. First try again, I get him on the phone and tell him that I plugged in the chip and have nothing. Bill took the time patiently and walked me through the menu steps to load the waypoints into my lowrance gps and there they were all 800+ !!

Holy mackerel I said, because it sure fills up a screen when you don’t have many fishing spots on it to begin with. I thanked him for his help, and he told me thanks for buying a hot spots fishing chip and that if I was happy with it to tell my friends, and that if I have any more issues or questions, to contact him.

Well, that was a few weeks ago and I have been able to go out fishing several times using the chip in my gps and 9 out of 10 times, I hit the spot and there are fish on the spot. I have to say, that for $59 bucks or whatever, it’s a darn good deal. I could easily spend $50 -$75 bucks on lures or other tackle and not be anywhere as productive after buying and using the stuff. The convenience of not having to enter waypoints prior to going fishing alone, is worth the 50 something bucks.

Well, I’m off my rant now or testimonial or whatever you want to call it. Just figured you all on this great forum would want to know the good from the bad. I see poor customer service out there all over the place, and it’s nice to deal with people that have not forgotten the lost art of standing behind their products and supporting them.

Here’s a couple of pics on how it looks on my garmin gps.

I just figured I would pass along some good news for a change... hope this helps someone

I bet the money you have saved in gas going to a fishing spot has already paid for the chip. Glad to hear it worked out for you.

I've been wanting to try one, but North Carolina has been "Coming Soon" for quite some time now. I probably already have a pretty good percentage of the numbers, but many are on paper.....I'd pay the $59 just to not have to punch them in to the GPS one by one.
