Yes ,great Tarpon fishing in the lagoons near Condado, if you are willing to travel to the southwest try Parguera fishing charters or Makaira fishing charters in Rincon .

Capt. Joe Castillo on the The Legend (48 Hatteras) is always a good choice. 787-726 5752

I fished out of the marina in San Juan, PR in April- don't waste time/money fishing for anything but inshore; it's been years so I don't recall the captain/vessel but trolled 7+hours and never saw a fish; wouldn't bother fishing PR again that time of year.

My friend Rick Ogle on the MR BII is chartering out of old San Juan these days. Gets $1650/day. Boat is a 57 Dean Johnson, all top notch tackle and crew. Send me a pm and I'll give you his phone.

reefhunter - the boat is a bit big for my needs. It's just me going out so 1650 is a bit pricey for me to foot alone. I am thinking inshore - Tarpon at this point. Thanks for the tip.

Very windy in Apr. most days are 25-30K from ENE to E.
SW side is shielded by 5,000 high mountains, that run E-W . Island is 30 x80 miles..
