Dorado Puerto Rico

Hi all -

At first we were going to vacation in either Outer Banks or Myrtle Beach but now our plans have changed a bit and we will be going to Dorado Puerto Rico - Just a bit west of San Juan.

I have a few questions and hope someone can help:
1) fishing - would love to do a split charter since I can justifiy 800 bux for myself when my wife is back at the hotel with the kids.

2) Some folks tell me to rent a car and go explore and do things, others tell me to not leave the resort. Any ideas???? We also are going to be looking for things to do - we have a 2 and 4 year old.
