Default sport fisherman and aj fishing Italian style

Dear friends,

please spend a few minutes watching this video we recently filmed during a fishing trip in the sea of Rome and let me know if you like that boat.

I would also like to discuss with you some technical issues regarding livebait trolling for AJs.

Ciao,

Paolo (Rome, Italy)

I had no idea you couold fish out of Rome. I will be there on holiday next summer. Maybe I can go fishing. Nice express boat is that built in Italy? Nice AJ by the way. We don't usually keep an AJ that big they tend to get ciguatera over here. Nice fish none the less

Paolo, great video! Is this anywhere near Torvaianica? We have family there and are heading back to visit them in the summer of 2010. I would LOVE to get out and catch some fish while I'm there. Thanks...

R.waddill,
We do have some AJs almost everywhere in Italy, even if it's probably the most difficult game fish to find and catch.
Normally we release small ones and keep the big ones. We do not have ciguatera problems.

This express is built here in Rome by a company owned by a friend of mine. You can get more info at www.obp.it. If I recall properly it uses a couple of yanmar 420 or something around that power, and for sure it runs at 40 knts (I measured the speed personally from my boat...).
When you are in Rome I will be happy to go out for a fishing trip or maybe to help you testing that boat.

Arm,

you would not believe that that spot is just a few miles out of Torvajanica. If we keep in touch you'll come for a fishing trip with me.

Ciao,
P
