Default Suffix Braid

Anybody use Suffix braid? Got the oppurtunity to get some at a dern good price, but have never used it. I always thought they were top of the line most of the time. I have used Tuf-Line and power pro and honestly can tell the difference bottom fishing., which is a good thing. This braid (100lb) will be used as backing on 50W and for bottom fishing too. Thanks.

I have used Suffix for a couple of years, as well as Power Pro and TufLIne. I prefer the feel of the Suffix.

Sufix is made from Dyneema fibers and PowerPro is made from Spectra.

I've fished it inshore for a couple of years.

I won't use anything else on my reels.

Dyneema and Spectra are trade names for the same fiber (polyethylene), from different manufacturers.

Sufix is made from Dyneema fibers and PowerPro is made from Spectra.
Dyneema (Royal DSM - The Netherlands) and Spectra (Honeywell) are trade names. While the manufacturing process varies a bit, both products have the same chemical structure and mechanical properties.

So what you are saying is they are basically the same and for someone to be able to tell the difference may be in their head?

Not that that matters, if you think it works better, it gives the angler a positive attitude and that is what is needed when fishing.

I have been using 80lb suffix braid. I do like the feel. It feels thicker than power pro. It is smoother.
