Default everglades guide recommendation please

Bob or anybody out there, can you recommend a back water guide for sport fishing out of EC or Chuck? Thanks, its for a friend and there may be up to 4 anglers.

There is a THTer that goes by lemaymiami who is a guide for the Everglades National Park area. I have never gone fishing with him but he posts good fishing reports.

Try contacting him if you want to try your luck in the wilderness waterway area. If I were going to hire a guide this would be the first person I would contact.

Try Marc Block we went with him. Great guide and knows the area really well.

Thanks, that is why the post starts with "Bob" for Bob lemay. he fishes Biscayne mostly. There are better native guides in EC for the 10,000 islands and I'm sure he will know. I was hoping for suggestions from other THTers as well.

Thanks

FYI, I actually spend the least time in Biscayne Bay, those bookings are almost always at night for small tarpon and snook...

Where I am most days is either Flamingo or Everglades City (80% Flamingo, 20% Everglades City).

In recent years I've been working out of Everglades City whenever I can (I had nine days there in October..). That said, there are lots of great guides that only work out of Chokoloskee/Everglades City. Mark Block is first rate, there are lots of others. If you're looking to put four anglers on one boat, guides like me just can't do it since our skiffs are meant for two anglers. I routinely book double and triple boat charters though when there's four or six or ... You're going to need a larger boat to fish four.
