Default Moldcraft copies??

hey guys, great read but now for a question
I bought these off this seller on ebay
I had been looking at them for a while thinking something was not quite right
have Moldcraft changed their moulds and their recipe, these things stink like they would be toxic???
I love using their lures but have never come across anything like this before .no sane fish would go near the smell? until a friend showed me some actual chinese copies he had bought these samples directly from china
anyone help me here ?
eBay Seller: wildcard1010: Sport items on eBay Australia
I am starting to think this seller is a cack but no one has complained??
have a great xmas!

Almost all plastics give off an odour until they are fully cured I was told by an old phart (like myself) that you should hang new plastic baits in the gragae in a dark corner until the smell has disappeared BEFORE you use them . . . I am not talking about gulp and other similar baits that contain an odour

I agree most rubber and plastic products have an odor to them. These stink however. A condom may smell a bit but if it stunk like these things you wouldnt put one on. I dont think a fish would eat this stuff.

There's only one way to find out ... pull'em. If you're uncomfortable with their smell .. throw'em in the washing machine with a strong detergent when your wife's not looking and air'em out in the yard. If that dosen't work ... paint'em with poggy oil ... I guarentee you they won't smell like plastic again.

Im sure with time and treatment you could get rid of the smell.

I dont feel I should have to. I purchased "Moldcraft" lures. Dont normally need washing and these dont look the same. The issue is have I been ripped off or has there been some changes by the manufacturer.

I once got a bunch of Green Machine copies/clones through a Ebay auction. When I openned the package I was nearly knocked over by the "plastic like" smell. After a few days it dissapated and the lures smell no different than any others.

Not exactly sure what your problem is except that I see your post on various fishing sites.

Not sure what you are up to so maybe you could clear it up.

You purchased Moldcraft lures from a guy on Ebay. You have ripped for selling smelly Chinese lures. His ad says his lures are made in the states. Are you questioning that? Are they stamped made in China or something?

Then you say that it's your friend that bought Chinese knock offs.

Then you show a picture comparing Chinese toWhat?

Personally,I appreciate you posting about this Ebay member. I think I'll buy some of his lures. Why pay exorbitant fees for Moldcrafts? They are cheap lures and should not cost much at all.

Moldcraft charges more for a simple latex lure than they do for their same sized dildos and the dildos vibrate!

So, what exactly is your point.

They do look different to me at the skirt join collar. Cheaper lure makers use a lower grade of plastizier which makes the plastic soft. A plastic ash tray has none vs. a garden hose that does. Cheap plastizer will gas out. Ever drink out of a cheap garden hose on a hot day? That taste is the migration of plastizer. I bought some cheap skirted trolling lures that had that smell, but they were not sold as a brand name. The smell will lessen over time.

I guess it is possible Moldcraft changes to a cheaper plastic formula for the over seas market. It is also possible that the strong dollar may allow better deals over seas hence the price difference.

The real key to answering your question may be in the packaging. Look for the details on it compared to a known Moldcraft package. I would make sure Moldcraft sees this and they can tell you. I'm sure they would have a great interest in it if they are not real. [email protected] is their email.

I don't seem to find a match with Moldcraft colors either.
