Default Fishing Nicaragua

Does anyone have info on fishing charters in the san juan del sur or tola areas? Going to be there around new years and cant find more than 2 or 3 guides on the internet. Any info would be much appreciated.

Here's one. http://www.surfaricharters.com/

I don't think there are many charters in Nicaragua, as it is more of a surf destination than a fishing one. That said, the fishing seems to be very good there.

I will be staying south of San Juan Del Sur around that time and we are planning on going out on the "Sancho", a 30 ft center console diesel. It looked like the best option available.

Based on its proximity to Costa Rica, I would assume that the fishing would be at least good. We will see what the experience is like

Unless you are fishing in the Bat Islands, inshore, the run is quite a bit father than in CR. Good Luck with the Papagallos it should be pretty windy around New Years.

It was very windy!
Lots of Jack and mackerel in Salinas bay. Seas rough offshore, no bites. I hear that April, May, and June are much better months.

Glad to here you had a good trip. The wind starts to lay down as the summer sets in, showers on land in the afternoon= nice day offshore.
