Default Cold weather fishing gloves?

My father as he gets older can tolerate less and less of the cold, but still loves to get out on the boat and or hit the beach for some fall striped bass. Anyone have some suggestions for a great pair of fish proof gloves that'll work for the boat and the surf, keep his hands warm even when wet and be warmer than the Sahara? Thanks

Nice boat james, my buddy has the 26. I have been using rubber gloves or waterproof dive gloves with hand warmers. How is the striper fishing by you? We had a great day Sunday between Absecon an GE Inlet.

Thanks, yeah that 26 is a nice boat, if I only had the cash....Striper fishing has been hit or miss for us so far this fall, took the day off from work on Thursday and headed out Barnegat with the old man, managed to land a couple of big blues but no stripers, we trolled and jigged everything on the boat that day, but no fishes with stripes. Week before was a decent day with a mix of bass and blues. Got out yesterday, seemed like an afternoon bite, trolled around in the morning and then found some huge bait balls on the bottom but only jigged some blues out of them, switched back to trolling and around 1:30 it lit up, had a blast with a bunch of schoolie bass with a few keepers mixed in, temps are dropping. How's it going down your way?

Just realized I derailed my own thread....

I have wool mitten gloves that work great for winter cod fishing. Mine are kind of like the ones in this link but I can also free my thump and tuck it back it when done.

Really starting to turn on as the water temp drops. Wish I had bought more spot when they were a buck a piece.

The neoprene gloves work well But if you use braid get a thumb dinger so they don't cut through
